First APEC Arrests Made

A group of Greenpeace protesters has been charged with malicious damage and dangerous navigation after painting an anti-APEC (Asia-Pacific Economic Co-operation) slogan on a coal ship moored in Newcastle.

I mean seriously, do these people not realise that property damage does nothing to advance their cause, while simultaneously discrediting their movement as a whole? Let’s just hope we get through this week without someone getting severely hurt by these thugs.

APEC arrest count now stands at 12.
