Sasa ‘Alex’ McMurray was and perhaps still is (his rentboy.com profile was recently re-activated) a gay male prostitute, and a tax cheat. He was a graduate of the elitist Geelong Grammar School and a Melbourne University Law and Commerce student, which begs the question as to why on earth he would sell his bum for $1500 a night to old pervs.
Born to Adela J. McMurray, Sasa was not satisfied with this birth name and instead adopted the nom de phallus of ‘Erik Ford’ who promised his clients a ‘night of hot and raunchy sex at your place or hotel’. Erik – or rather Sasa – decided to suppress this story by cease and desisting any site or blog that hosted information regarding his identity.
Youtube took down the video exposing what he’d done. Revver did also. Several pictures that proved he was the anonymous rentboy also mysteriously disappeared from where they were hosted.
Oh, and wordpress fully disabled our old blog without informing us in the slightest as to what had happened. He essentially used a modicum of legal might to silence information proving he was a hypocrite and a scumbag, in order to save any future career. That failed fairly miserably, given that you’re probably here because you googled his name. Whoopsie. (Also, kudos to the lovely kids at Google for caching all the material he had taken down, you’re doing the Lord’s work).
We are doing more here than exercising our implied Constitutional right of communicating political information (s24: Mason J, 1992), but rather asking ourselves a question central to the public interest: how is it that a person who owns a million dollar business, assigned the role of ‘moral advisor’ at Trinity College (a staunchly religious Anglican College), an affiant of the YL and (who once) wanted to be a future politician of this nation ended up pursuing that particular career, and then acting in an utterly brutish way when the genie (inevitably) got out of the bottle.
